Danish standard has more than 235 standardization committees tasked with developing national, European and international standards. The committees consist of various stakeholders and are usually a combination of representatives from companies, organizations, authorities, educational institutions, research institutions and NGOs.
It is important for each committee to have broad representation and versatile competencies in order to develop future standards. In Denmark, there are typically 5-20 members in each committee.
Danish Standards represent Denmark in the European and international standardization organizations: CEN, CENELEC, ISO, IEC and ETSI.
