European and international cooperation

Danish Standards represent Denmark in the European and international standardization organizations: CEN, CENELEC, ISO, IEC and ETSI. Here, we work to promote Danish interests and competitiveness.

Danish Standards has been appointed as the national standardization organization. This means that we represent Denmark in the European standardization organizations CEN, CENELEC and ETSI, as well as the international organizations ISO and IEC. Danish Standards is thus the entry point into European and international standardization. A gateway to knowledge about the development of European and international standards, which play a crucial role in international trade, consumer protection, technological development and the green transition. It is also through Danish Standards that companies, organizations and NGOs can help secure Danish interests across markets.

At Danish Standards we have more than 235 committees, where 2 400 members across industries and sectors are involved in developing European and international standards to ensure that companies can document the properties, safety and sustainability of their products, among other things.

This reflects the strong Danish commitment to European and international standardization, which is positive for the positions of strength and the expansion of the competencies and market positions of Danish companies.
