Since 2009 Eurocodes and the appropriate Danish National Annexes (DK NA) have been the legal basis for design of buildings and civil engineering works in Denmark.
A number of clauses in the Eurocodes allow for Nationally Determined Parameters to be fixed. These parameters are listed in the DK NA, prepared by the standards committees under Danish Standards in cooperation with the Danish Housing and Planning Authority.
In case there is no DK NA the designer should make sure that the general rules in DS/EN 1990 and its DK NA are followed.
The undergoing revision of all Eurocodes will result in a new second generation of eurocodes. The first in line was DS/EN 1996-1-1:2022 for masonry structures.
According to CEN rules Danish Standards are obliged to withdraw the old version of EN 1996-1-1. However, the present regulations in the Danish Building Code (BR18, section 15) implicit requires the DS/EN 1996-1-1 version from 2013 to be used together with the DS/EN 1996-1-1 DK NA. This may lead to misunderstandings of which versions of eurocodes and DK NA to use. Therefore Danish Standards have drafted this table providing the structural engineers etc. with an overview.

A new DK NA for DS/EN 1992-1-1 (dated 2021) has been launched and is presently undergoing translation into English.
