The previous Commission introduced several green initiatives, which now need to be implemented. At the same time, we see an increased emphasis on the development, growth and autonomy of European industry. How will this political focus influence the green transition and what will be the impact on European competitiveness?
The event will be opened by high-level speakers from the Danish Ministry of Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs and the European Commission, followed by a debate with distinguished panelists.
The panel debate will focus on the clean tech sector, that is at the heart of Europe’s green transition. The success of the sector depends on a regulatory framework that enables innovation and growth rather than administrative burdens.
Key questions include: How can Europe balance its environmental ambitions while maintaining global competitiveness? How do we leverage EU technological development in international markets? What role should policymakers, industry, and environmental organisations play in shaping these frameworks to accelerate innovation and investment? How can we ensure that the green transition is an opportunity rather than a burden for European industry?
Participants will gain valuable insights from key decision-makers. They will have the opportunity to engage in discussions on the future of European industrial policy, network with stakeholders, and learn how standardisation and innovation can enhance competitiveness in the clean tech sector.
The hybrid event is for free.
The event will bring together a diverse audience from across Denmark’s business landscape, including representatives from SMEs, large corporations, NGOs, and industry associations, including members of Danish Standards' various networks.
